About one-third of the organizations supporting the green entrepreneurial ecosystem in Kenya can be categorized as capacity development providers, of which slightly more are headquartered internationally than locally. Most organizations that offer funds (i.e., investors, DFIs or donor agencies, and foundations) are headquartered internationally.

The majority (over 90%) of entrepreneur support organizations have local office space in Nairobi. The next leading region is Jumuia ya Kaunti za Pwani (16%), followed by the Lake Region Economic Bloc (LREB) (<10%) .

Most organizations do not limit their support to a single sector, with over half working in two or more green sectors. The sustainable agriculture and aquaculture sector is most common, followed by energy efficiency and storage, clean fuels, and electrification with renewables.
